Different as expected again from you Cigaro! Think this would work better though in bw with a washed out sky and very dark green on the grass and trees. Wish also for better focus on the background trees. Off center would maybe also be an idea?!

Very good work. Well chosen DOF (I disagree entirely with Patrick's comment regarding the sharpness of the trees). The overexposed sky does however sap a bit of the life (or death in this case ) from the composition. I'm wondering how a very tight crop at the top and sides might look. Anyway, a strong piece overall. +8

Ok, so time for some explanations. Wanted a centered composition because heck, death can only be the center in a compo. I kept the strong green because i wanted a bit of contrast between life and death (doh) Tried a tight crop at the top but dunno, the whole attention to the grim got a bit diminished As for the white sky, I initially did have an hdr in mind, but eventually ditched the idea in order to make it simple. I'm making up for the whole texture-filled photos with something sort of minimalistic As for the dof being too shallow, i wanted it that way, i needed the figure to stand out from those details from the forest Anywho thanks a bunch peeps And btw Patrick, i evetually write replies, its just that i have other matters to attend too...no need to post kinky remarks

I love the flat black of the cloth next to the depth and detail of the grass. Wonderful. The only thing I wish was different was the composition. I do not like the figure being right in the middle. But that is my preference.
